Brunt Rewarded With Call-Up

Highly-rated Owls winger Chris Brunt has been rewarded for his superb performances of late with a call-up for the Northern Ireland squad to face Wales next month.

Brunt has been in top-form for the Owls since the arrival of Brian Laws to the club and is currently the Owls top scorer - with his form alerting Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez.

And he will be hoping to impress Sanchez in the friendly at Windsor Park on Tuesday, February 6 after being overlooked for a place in the international set-up by the former Wycombe Wanderers manager.

The 22-year-old has failed to cement a place in Sanchez's rejuvinated Northern Ireland side despite already picking up five caps and will hoping to set that straight next month.
