Bougherra Set For Addicks

Wednesday defender Madjid Bougherra is set to end any speculation about his future by signing for Charlton Athletic, after the Addicks had their improved offer accepted today.

The Owls had already knocked back an initial £1.3m from Alan Pardew's men, but today it was revealed that Charlton had 'matched' the club's valuation of him - which is said to be around £3m.

And Bougherra is set to put pen to paper on a deal this weekend after already expressing his desire to play in the Premiership.

The Algerian international had attracted the interest of a number of clubs including Birmingham City and Reading, while Everton had also had an offer accepted this week but the player failed to agree terms over a move to Goodison Park.

Lets hope the greedy B$!&$!d gets relegated in May. If we don't go up, and Charlton play us next season, he will not be welcome, he used us, and he is another example of mercenary foreign plyers that are draining our game. He was a wonderful player, but I feel so let down, we had a chance of promotion with him, but have no chance with a Cenre Back pairing with a combined age of 70.

To be fair, i don't think we would we would of got in the play off's with him, a season to early. Show's what sort of man/player he is. Name me 1 football man who would pick Charlton over Everton, the only person who would is a mercenary. goodbye and badluck
