Vital Playoff First Leg Team News
It's that time of the year again! EFL Playoffs are well underway and at least one Yorkshire side will be making an appearance at Wembley as Bradford secured a final meeting in the capital against victims of Barnsley last season, Millwall. But what about the big boys? What about the multi-million pound final? Wednesday begin their journey in West Yorkshire against David Wagner's Huddersfield Town.
Ahead of the first leg, let's take a look at the team news from both camps, first up home side Huddersfield.
The Terriers are set to be without goalkeeper Danny Ward who serves a one-match suspension for his sending off against Cardiff City. It is expected that Joel Coleman will feature in his place for the first leg. In better news for a largely unaffected squad for the home side is that striker Kachunga returns from his calf injury and could go straight into the Terriers line-up.
Now up in the Owls team news ahead of the first leg.
A doubt for Wednesday is that striker Gary Hooper is an injury doubt not just for the first leg but also the second leg on Wednesday evening, although Carlos has assured fans he is back in training. With Hooper out, the Owls aren't exactly short of option as Rhodes, Winnall, Nuhiu and Forestieri all offer an argument given recent form to start with or opposed to Steven Fletcher who has hit form at the right time.
After securing a Playoff spot at Ipswich the week before the Owls made 10 changes for their final game of the regular season, with goalkeeper Keiren Westwood among those rested for the defeat by Fulham which saw Joe Wildsmith play and prove his wprth to the Owls squad.
