Eagles Departs Owls

On-loan winger Chris Eagles has returned to Manchester United after spending six months on loan at Hillsborough.

The 20-year-old played 25 times for the Owls, scoring three goals during his time here.

Owls manager Paul Sturrock said: 'He's done a fantastic job for a young player. He's come to a football club that really didn't suit his style but by the end of his time here he's been doing all the work I've expected of him. I've been very pleased with his contribution over the last five of six games and I'm sure he's going to be a star given time.''

Eagles finest peformance came when he scored the winner against Leeds United back in September - the Owls first win of the season.

He also bagged goals against Cardiff City, and in his last match against Burnley - where he led the team out and ended the Owls seven game goal drought.
