Luhukay Seeks Success
New Sheffield Wednesday gaffer Jos Luhukay has been talking about the style of play he wants to implement at Hillsborough following his arrival and his focus is purely on 'successful football'.
Meeting with the media yesterday as he was officially unveiled following the earlier announcement, he told the Official Site that he expected our style of play to change game by game as it would be designed to be the best way we can get three points from an individual opponent.
'I want and we want to be successful so that is what I intend our kind of football to be. There is no set formula to play football, there are different ways and different factors. Some games will be different to others. The derby on Friday will be different to the next game, certainly. So my kind of football is the kind of football that will help Wednesday win matches and take the club forward.'
Settling into life at the club as he begins work, obviously the derby against Sheffield United figured highly in his thoughts and he was looking for a bright introduction as he continues to learn about his new playing staff.
'At this moment we look only to the next game on Friday. You must always keep an eye in more directions and we will try to do what`s best for the club. But Friday is a highlight day. Derbies in every country are highlight days.'
Luhukay went on to say.
'There will be emotion, atmosphere, passion, a special feeling and these things will bring extra motivation for us to play good football. The game is not about me. I do not want to be the hero, only someone who does a very good job. I will be very happy for the team if we win on Friday but it is not about me.'
Once the game is out the way attentions will move turn to potential strengthening whilst the January window is open.
