Have You Been Tango'd?

A Vital Sheffield Wednesday member - who wishes to remain nameless in fear of being tango'd! - has his say on one of the Owls most famous fans - Tango...

-------------------------------------------

Ten Years ago when we were a Premiership team, Sky Sports seemed to fall in love with the man known to us all at Hillsborough as Tango.

His shaved head and noticeable physique aligned with the fact that what looked like his 'twin' was on TV at the time with a big orange hand slapping and kissing people drinking Tango orange, made him a hit with many fans, and he even was on the opening titles for Sky Sports.

Obviously since then we have been relegated twice and the adverts are a distant part of TV history that will occasionally be shown on a program made up of 'funny' clips hosted by some has been celebrity who could not even get a place on a reality TV show.

Maybe it is similar to these 'celebrities' who see their days in the spotlight numbered, but unfortunately week in week out there seems to be problems at away matches, and it seems to centre around the large man with no shirt on trying to be centre of attention.

Why is it week after week after week that he gets to be at the front at every away game ?

Do the club reserve tickets on the front row for him ?

Why at games like Man City away, and Barnsley away do him and his gang come in at last minute, and all sit down at the front in an area that is cordoned off for safety reasons, and why do stewards let him do that. ?

Many of us when we go to get tickets, have to accept the tickets we are given, has anybody ever checked his tickets, and made sure he sits where he is supposed to ?

How many times over the last few years have you seen him removed by the stewards for going on the pitch or generally causing trouble ?

At Man City he was on the pitch after the Lee Bullen goal, maybe because it was on TV, and he saw his chance to get a few seconds back in the limelight ?

Why do the club do nothing about him ?

Several people have written to Sheffield Wednesday, who claim that he has never to their knowledge ever been in any trouble, and has never been a naughty boy at Hillsborough or any away game.

Is this true ?

Are the club so blind they never see him ?

How many of you out there are bothered about him anymore ?

If he wants to follow the team, then fine, but stop taking your shirt off, and sitting on the front row, and surrounding yourself with your 'Clan' causing trouble Tango. You have had your 15 minutes of fame, don't give us a bad name now. We have one of the best travelling supports in the country, we don't want our name tarnished.

I don't think Tango gets as much publicity as he once did but I imagine that would all change if we got back to the Premiership

I have seen him in trouble with stewards at most grounds, maybe he is trying to do a new record like those who have visited every ground. maybe he wants to be thrown out of every ground.

He wants the attention, and he gets even more through this article!

Does anybody know how he always gets dront row at every away game ? Is there anybody out there who knows if he actually sits in the seat he has been given at away matches ?
haxeyowl
Is there anybody out there who thinks he is good for SWFC ? I don't have a problem if he behaves, but running on the pitch at Derby and Man City, and getting arrested all the time is not good

I saw him signing autographs for the kids at Selhurst once.. sheesh.

Autographs? Now that's going too far!
