Clarke Nets For Latics

On-loan Wednesday striker netted his first goal during his loan spell at League One club Oldham Athletic in their 4-0 hammering of Doncaster Rovers on Sunday.

The former Wolves striker, who is believed to have joined the Owls for £250k in the January transfer window, was shipped out to John Sheridan's men to increase his fitness at the start of the month.

And he impressed the Boundary Park faithful by bursting by two Doncaster defenders before opening the scoring for the Latics on eight minutes.

The youngster played the full 90 minutes for Sheridan's men - and Owls boss Brian Laws is hoping he returns to S6 in good shape as he looks to give him a run out in the blue and white before the end of the season.

The Owls striker is set to continue in Oldham's attacking line this weekend as they make the long journey south to face relegation threatened Leyton Orient.

Did we time his loan wrong ? Isn't it normally the case for us, that ex players score against us when they return ? Should he not be playing against wolves ?

Good point! We should have put him in there just to prove a point.
