Owls Make Tudgay Move Permanent

Wednesday have completed the full transfer of Derby County striker Marcus Tudgay for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has a signed a deal with the club until the summer of 2010 and hopes to help Wednesday climb up the table.

Tudgay told the official SWFC site: ''It's a big club and a fresh start for myself. I want to come here, score goals, and help Sheffield Wednesday get up the table.''

Tudgay was initially signed on a one-month loan deal so he could play in last Monday's match with Crewe, but a full transfer has now gone through.

He began his career as a trainee at Pride Park before going on to make 53 appearances for the Rams, scoring 17 goals on the way.
