Corr Set For Swindon?

Out-of-favour Owls striker Barry Corr could be set to rejoin the man who brought him to Hillsborough - Paul Sturrock - at Swindon Town this week according to media reports.

Corr has failed to make an impression on Brian Laws since the former Scunthorpe manager took the reins at S6 - and the Owls gaffer has revealed Corr will be on his way out of Hillsborough sooner or later.

And media reports this week have pointed towards an early exit for the young striker - as early as today (Monday) or tomorrow - with League Two Swindon favourites for his signature.

Paul Sturrock's side have seen the goals dry up at the worst possible time - as they look towards promotion from League Two - and the former Owls boss is desperate to add two strikers to bolster his attacking options and get the promotion chase back on.

Sturrock has been told that a slice of the Lukas Jutkiewicz transfer cash is available for team strengthening, after the youngster was sold to Premiership side Everton.

And the deal is set to be a good one for all parties, with the Irish forward making just one league appearance this season - on loan at League One side Bristol City. He then went on trial with Chesterfield earlier this month but a deal was never put on the table.

Corr has made seven starts - all under Paul Sturrock's reign at S6 - and he will be hoping more chances come under the Scot should a deal go ahead in the coming days.

i doubt it, he should have stayed in that irish band with his sisters, you dont hear of them these days now he's left to become a footballer, stick to what your good at, just cos hoddle n waddle achieved musical supremacy doesnt neccessarily mean it works both ways. ;-)
