Owls Striker Transfer Listed

Owls boss Brian Laws has revealed that Wednesday striker David Graham has been punished for a 'serious breach of club' discipline'.

The former Wigan frontman was loaned out to League Two strugglers Torquay United until the end of the season yesterday - but the move is a punishment for the Scot for breaking club rules.

And Graham was also fined two weeks wages and put on the Owls transfer list - making it almost a certainty that the hitman will be on his way out of Hillsborough once the transfer window re-opens at the end of the season.

Laws told the Sheffield Star: 'He has been transfer-listed and fined after a serious breach of club discipline. He has broken the ground rules and the professionalism of this football club and I will not tolerate that.'

The Scot has failed to make an impact on the Owls faithful since arriving at the club in August 2005 from Wigan Athletic.

He had a successful loan spell at Huddersfield Town at the end of last season and helped them secure their spot in the League One play-off places, prompting many fans to call for him to be given a chance.

But former boss Paul Sturrock again shipped the striker out on loan at the start of the current campaign to League One side Bradford City, where he endured a torrid time before returning to Hillsborough.

And although featuring a number of times as substitute since returning to S6 - Graham has failed to make a start under new boss Brian Laws despite impressing for the club's reserve team.

he did ok for us, its so rubbish of clubs not to say whats gone on, all that hapens is people hear about the truth via rumours etc, why not just say, he turned up lashed for training, or whatever.
Hudders
yeah id like to know what he's done if for nothing else then comedy value, if not i may have to release some rumours "apparanetly he got p*ssed and released a ****load of penguins from a zoo, b*stard"

i suspect it was probably something to do with having a go at laws for not playing in the first team. it's not fashionable to kick players out for drink problems, it's worth more political points to help him through treatment
wednesday4europe
dont care what he's done!!! the important thing is he has GONE!!!!

Surely Laws wouldn't be able to get away with saying it was due to 'serious disciplinary problems' when there was just a disagreement, would he? :s
