Macca & Bully Set For Talks

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has revealed he is set to sit down with his players and start discussing new contracts - including Steve Maclean and Lee Bullen.

A number of current Wednesday players will see their contracts up at the end of the current campaign - with many fans having heated discussions about the future of Steve Maclean and Lee Bullen in particular.

And the Owls boss has revealed he is set to resolve the issues when he starts talking to players this week.

Laws said: 'We are already talking to the players now, the MacLeans and the Bullens who are out of contract. We are now starting to put that in place.

'Bullen is 36 and he is in his twilight years. He is doing exceptionally well. He is the fittest lad in the club and he has got great experience and he throws himself at situations and gives everything he has got.

'Sometimes what he lacks in possibly the attributes a lot of players have got in the Championship, he gives in other areas. He's got a massive heart and he will give everything for Sheffield Wednesday.

'It is important we reward the players who have done exceptionally well for the club.'

Get them both signed up, it can only be a good thing for the club. Both have shown that they can do a job for us this season.
