Simek Gets £2m Tag

Wednesday have slapped a £2m price tag on highly-rated defender Frank Simek after the American attracted interest from numerous Premiership clubs according to media reports.

Simek has been many fans player of the season alongside Chris Brunt and has been tipped for a future in the Premiership with Charlton Athletic, Aston Villa and Portsmouth all rumoured to be showing interest in the youngster.

And offers are expected to come in to Owls boss Brian Laws when the season draws to a close - with the Owls gaffer reportedly slapping a £2m tag on the right-back for his services.

The 22-year-old has been in hot form for Wednesday this season, helping the club to within five points of the play-off spots - and his hard-work has also seen him get his first call up for the USA National side recently.

And the Owls will be desperate to cling on to his services as they look to carry their winning momentum in to next season and launch a promotion campaign.

£2M?!? Whats the point? Who do we have to replace him? And how are we expected to push for promotion if we sell our best players?
Smurf
Exactly. A not for sale tag would be more appropriate

we have to be realistic, the club is in debt and 2mil for a championship right back however good a season he's had is good business. especially as he came on a free not long ago

Have to agree with smurf, takeover or not we should be pushing hard for promotion next season. Selling Simek is not the actions of a forward thinking club.
duds
We can't let our top players go for cheap.
