Turner Set For Owls Finale

On-loan goalkeeper Iain Turner is set for his final match for Wednesday in this weekend's clash with Coventry City - after Everton revealed they would be recalling him.

The Scottish stopper has been a huge hit with the Owls faithful during his spell at Hillsborough - helping the Owls go unbeaten since his debut between the sticks in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over Southend United.

And Wednesday's number two Chris Adamson is set to get a chance to impress boss Brian Laws in the final two matches of the season away at Birmingham City and at home to Norwich City.

'Everton want Iain back after Saturday,' Laws told the Sheffield Star.

'He's been a sensational player for us. If we could have kept him it would have been fantastic. I spoke to David Moyes; Everton will have a keeper problem themselves, and after Iain goes back there, he will not be able to return here this season.'

And the Owls boss still hasn't ruled out bringing the Scottish international stopper to S6 on a season-long loan next season as Wednesday look towards a promotion push.

Laws added: 'As for next season, we're still trying to get the lad back here. There's a lot of talking to be done. Let's hope he's here next season on loan.

'We have three or four other possible targets if that falls down.

'We have shown that if you get a quality keeper in, it does win you games. If we get a keeper of Iain's calibre, I think we'll be all right.'

Come back soon, Iain.

This sounds exactly the same as what happened last season and Laws is saying just the same as KPS - oh no!

He will be sadly missed, lets hope and pray that he dons the blue and white stripes again next season. If not we definitly need to find another keeper with similar abilities to bolster the squad. THANKS Iain, you have served us well.
