Laws Asks For 12th Man

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has called on the Hillsborough faithful to be the 12th men for this afternoon's clash with Coventry, and sing the Owls to victory.

The Owls are still within grasp of the Championship play-off places, sitting five points behind the last of the play-off clubs in Wolves with three games still remaining.

And victory over Iain Dowie's Sky Blues this afternoon could well see the Owls to within two points of the top six with Wolves not in action until tomorrow afternoon.

'The fans were absolutely magnificent at West Bromwich and, whilst it is still alive, I hope the supporters come out to get right behind the players. It could just be what dreams are made of. It is a long shot, highly unlikely, but it is still realistic.' Laws told the official SWFC site.

And the Owls gaffer is wary that three points against their Midlands opponents will be no easy feat, despite their recent poor run of form.

'Coventry are going to give us a good game. Iain Dowie has gone in there and he will be looking to see a response from the players. They are all fighting for their futures as we already saw when he went into the club. They won something like four on the bounce then so they are more than capable of winning games. They have had a tough few weeks but it won't be an easy game for us.' he added.
