Lee In Rovers Talks
Wednesday have accepted an offer of £50,000 from Doncaster Rovers for defender Graeme Lee.
The former Hartlepool man has been told he can leave Hillsborough by Paul Sturrock after dropping down the pecking order at the club.
The-27-year-old will now discuss terms with Rovers and a deal may be reached in time for Rovers game with Chesterfield at Belle Vue on Saturday.
Lee was one of five players to be told they can leave by manager Paul Sturrock. With Richard Wood and Graham Coughlan playing well together at the back, and Drissa Diallo available as back up, his appearances would have been limited.
The Middlesbrough lad was brought to Hillsborough by Chris Turner from Hartlepool United in June 2003. He made 71 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals, and was a major factor in helping the club win promotion last season.
