'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Thanks, Iain!

Vital Sheffield Wednesday wish to thank Iain Turner for his superb form which no doubt played a huge part in the Owls' current impressive eleven game unbeaten run.

The Scottish stopper played his final match for Wednesday in the 2-1 victory over Coventry City at the weekend after being recalled by parent club Everton to feature in their final stretch of the campaign.

And Turner got a superb reception from the Owls faithful at S6 on Saturday after completing his unbelievable record of eight wins and three draws from eleven matches wearing the the famous blue and white (or at least the goalkeeping jersey, anyway!).

And Owls boss Brian Laws recognised the superb impact the Scottish stopper has had on his team, and also hopes to have him back between the sticks next season.

'He's been a sensational player for us,' the Owls boss told the Sheffield Star.

'If we could have kept him it would have been fantastic.I spoke to David Moyes; Everton will have a keeper problem themselves, and after Iain has gone back there, he will not be able to return here this season.

'As for next season, we're still trying to get the lad back here. There's a lot of talking to be done. Let's hope he's here next season on loan.'

From all at Vital Sheffield Wednesday - cheers Iain, and good luck in the future, whether it be at S6 or elsewhere...

Thanks for the good work you have done for us Iain. Any chance of ringing Moyes up and pulling a sicky on Saturday?
