Laws Looking To Continue Momentum

Wednesday boss Brian Laws is looking to continue the club's impressive eleven-match unbeaten run and keep their chances of a play-off place alive with victory at Birmingham this weekend.

The clash at St Andrews is a massive match for both clubs - with Wednesday able to keep their hopes of a play-off place alive going in to the final match of the season and the Blues able to clinch promotion to the Premiership should other results go their way.

But the Owls boss insists his men will be going in to the clash as they have done in recent weeks - with a no fear attitude.

'We said many weeks ago that it was mathematically possible (for the play-offs), if unlikely,' the Owls boss told the official SWFC site.

'The fact is that we now have two minutes to go and we have a great chance to nip in the back door. We have a momentum at the moment that's going to be hard to stop.

'We know Birmingham will be very wary of us and concerned. They have to win and it is a huge game for them, as much as it is for us. We hope to make them a bit more nervy and wait another week to see what direction they go in. It could be a very nervy afternoon.'

Laws also went on to reveal that he hopes for defender Frank Simek and striker Marcus Tudgay to be available for selection after picking up knocks while Deon Burton is also giving himself a chance of selection after an injury to the eye.
