Owls Turning That Corner

Owls Turning That Corner

With just a week remaining of the Owls Championship campaign - Vital Sheffield Wednesday contributor Mark Hollins has one eye already firmly set on next season...

-------------------------------------------

THAT corner...

May 2003.

If you would have asked someone what he or she would rather turn round, Wednesday or the Titanic, I'm sure you would have had them thinking...

Ask someone the same question about Leeds now! Oops...

Well I guess we're no longer looking at the Premiership in the rear view mirror.

What a chance we had at St. Andrews though - 'He`s hit the bar!'

Gutting. How ungrateful of us not to be happy with tenth place...yeah right.

I know it's a game too early for the summary, but Sunday is not part of the season, it's the day we can all turn up and celebrate with our heroes the success we've all enjoyed and contributed to this football year.

We've been bad, we've been good, we've been bad and we've been great - up down shake it all around - a blue and white adventure.

Suggestions for improvement and furtherment of successes?

Many...

Mainly keep the good and rid the bad.

Brunt, Simek, Macca and Burton must be kicking off in August.

Lunt, Adamson, O'Brien and friends - find a new kit please - no offence of course.

Dave can be smug about the Sturrock decision whilst we can revel in the fact our hero never really had chance. Laws came in, enjoyed someone else's hard work, had a rough patch, then showed us what he's made of.

Is he the man? Who knows - perhaps he will have to be.

Laws needs to do what few have done before and start a season well. Do that and I'll cheer him at Wembley; be it an excellent Carling Cup run or play off adventure, next season we HAVE to believe we can be great again.

I've got so much to say but lets save some until next week for a full review!

UTO!

WEDNESDAY 4-1 Canaries.

Great article, glad to see you also think a lot of this success is down to KPS too! I totally agree and still think if give time the ride would have changed.

But it wouldn't have changed as much as it has. I'm a big KPS fan but also a Laws fan, so let it go and move with the times!
