Laws Pleased With Owls Progress

Owls boss Brian Laws has put the defeat at Birmingham City well and truly behind him and insists the Owls have enjoyed a superb end to the campaign.

The Owls play-off hopes were ended at St Andrews last weekend which saw the club's superb unbeaten run also end - but the Owls boss is ore than happy with the Owls' finish this term.

Laws told the Sheffield Star: 'We're certain to finish 10th. Now we have a possible opportunity to finish ninth. Who would have thought that in January ?

'We have proved that we can live with the best of them in the Championship. We have taken games to the top teams and done well against them.'

But the Owls are still set to finish in their highest position since relegation from the Premiership - a mark of how well former boss Paul Sturrock has done - and how well Laws has taken the reigns and taken the team to another level in recent weeks.

And Wednesday go in to the final match of the season looking to end the campaign with a win against Norwich City this Sunday (kick-off 1pm).
