Laws Praises 'Tremendous' Support

Laws Praises 'Tremendous' Support

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has heaped praise on the Hillsborough faithful and hopes the fans will once again turn up to support the team against Norwich City this Sunday.

Owls fans have once again made the club one of the best supported in the Championship, alongside Sunday's opponents, and Laws is hoping the fans arrive at Hillsborough in numbers at the weekend to cheer Wednesday to one last win this term.

'The fans have been absolutely tremendous and I'd like to thank them,' Laws told the official SWFC website.

'The main ingredient you need is the supporters and they have been outstanding from start to finish - I really felt for them on Saturday. I just hope they come out in their thousands for the Norwich match to support the players.'

Laws has guided the Owls to within touching distance of the Championship play-offs during his first campaign at the Hillsborough helm, and is confident the fans will leave Hillsborough full of pride on Sunday no matter what the score.

He added: 'They (the fans) have had a taste of good things and I think any supporter will say it has been a great season.

'That's maybe something they didn't think would happen at the start of the season. Now it has, we've given them a bit of belief and must build on that - that's my objective for next season.'
