Bully Agrees New Deal

Wednesday captain marvel Lee Bullen has put pen to paper on a new 12-month deal at Hillsborough according to reports in The Daily Record today.

The Scottish paper says the former Dunfermline man will be staying at S6 next season to aid a promotion push to the Premiership - news which will please boss Brian Laws and Owls fans alike after the close of the current campaign on Sunday.

Bullen has been a key player for Laws and the Owls in recent months, despite not getting any younger at 36-years of age, and the Owls boss was keen to get the Scotsman to pen the new deal.

The Edinburgh-born defender has notched up 91 league appearances since being brought to the club by former boss Chris Turner on a free transfer in 2004.

He's enjoyed an eventful stay at S6, leading the Owls to promotion glory in just his first year after Paul Sturrock took control of the club before helping Wednesday stay in the Championship last season and playing in all eleven positions.

And although being used mainly as a substitute at the start of the campaign, he's become a key player for Brian Laws both on and off the pitch in recent months.
