Corr Set To Flock Nests

Wednesday striker Barry Corr is set to make his loan move to Paul Sturrock's Swindon Town permanent this summer according to reports on the official Town website.

The Irishman has been out of favour under Owls boss Brian Laws and is keen to follow Paul Sturrock - the man who brought him to Hillsborough - to Swindon Town following a successful loan stint this season.

The former Leeds youth product is one of a number of players Sturrock is looking to pen to a deal with the hitman already stating his desire to stay a Robin following the conclusion of his loan deal from Wednesday.

The County Ground club have already begun discussions with Corr, who bagged three goals in eight starts to help Swindon to promotion from League Two at the first time of asking under the guidance of Sturrock.

And Corr will join former Wednesday team mate Lee Peacock at Town, with a number of Owls players including Steve Adams and Burton O'Brien also being linked with a move south.

The young striker is currently recovering from a broken back and won't be available to feature for the Robins at the start of the new campaign, but Sturrock has always seen the striker as one for the future.
