88 Days And Counting!

88 Days And Counting!

Yes, we may seem quite sad here at Vital Sheffield Wednesday, but the football season is only just over and we're already counting the days 'til the 2007/08 campaign!

The Football League have announced the starting date for the 2007/08 campaign for Saturday, August 11 for the Championship - that's 88 days from now.

And Wednesday fans will be looking forward to the start of the new season more than usual following the superb form which saw Brian Laws guide his men to just one defeat in their final 12 games of the season - missing out on the play-off places by just four points.

And the prospect of Laws taking charge of the Hillsborough club for his first full campaign, coupled with the prospect of a takeover or investment in the club during the summer, really is worth looking forward to.

Of course, the recent relegation of our good friends from across the city will heighten the excitement of next season, as well as the welcome return of Madjid Bougherra and his Charlton Athletic side.

And fans can find out the fixture list here on Vital Sheffield Wednesday from 10am on Thursday 14 June - so stay tuned!
