Owls Rumour Recycling!

So, interest in Billy Sharp dies down.. interest in a certain Greek stopper builds back up.

As reported here on Vital Football on May 9th - click here for that story - Hartlepool keeper Dimitrios Konstantopoulos is a supposed Owls target. If it's true, we're pleased about that, don't get me wrong, because the position of keeper has been a problem one, and a permanent solution needs to be found.

Now that the Owls reported bid for Billy Sharp has been turned down, the newspapers have to have something to write about, so Dimi is at the top of their list now when it comes to Owls rumour-mongering.

Vital SWFC can reveal that the Owls Superstore is already rubbing it's hands at the thought of all that extra dosh from the letters 'KONSTANTOPOULOS' on the back of the goalie shirts they'll sell.. lets hope Dimi comes to S6!

It's said Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd is looking to fill the gap left by Ben Foster's return to Manchester United following two seasons on loan for the Hornets, and Cardiff are also thought to be in the running for the Greek international following Neil Alexander's departure from Ninian Park. All very sensible.

Slightly less sensible was the article printed yesterday on the Tribal Football web site that Brian Laws was in the north east keeping an eye on Chris Riggott.. well, Tribal Football is an Australian web site.. methinks you should be concentrating on the Super 14, gentlemen.

News also that Norwich are on the verge of signing Crewe defender Jon Otsemobor... allegedly beating the Owls and Leeds to his signature (if indeed we were ever chasing him!)
