Owls Ladies Double Celebration

It's been a fantastic season for the Sheffield Wednesday Ladies team, with success in two competitions: a league and cup double!

The Owls girls have been promoted to the FA Women's Premier League by winning the Northern Combination, beating Leeds Vixens (oh how we love that!) to the top spot, losing only 2 games from a total of 22, with 16 wins.

Further success this season came with victory in the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Cup in March, the Doncaster Belles going down 1-0 to the Owls.

Ladies manager Christine McCann said: 'Our small squad has achieved something very special this year and they have all played a massive part in our success. We have added some real Sheffield steel to our game and deserve everything we have achieved. The league and cup double - what a year!'

Vital SWFC would like to add our congratulations!
