Owls Target A Sky Blue

Owls Target A Sky Blue

Hartlepool's Dimitrios Konstantopoulos, rumoured to be in the frame for the Owls #1 spot, has signed for Coventry.

In return, Pools secured the services of Sky Blues keeper Arran Lee-Barrett to replace the 28 year old Greek stopper at Victoria Park after he rejected their offer.

Coventry boss Iain Dowie said: 'To keep 25 clean sheets at any level is a fantastic achievement and I look forward to working with him in the near future.

He has played all of Hartlepool's league games this season and I have no doubt that Dimi was a key component in the side winning promotion.

He is an honest professional who wants to better himself and I believe he will fit well into the squad at Coventry City.'

Konstantopoulos will join up with the Sky Blues on July 1st, on a three year deal.

The focus of attention for Owls fans now falls on Derby's England U21 goalkeeper Lee Grant, as reported on Vital SWFC earlier this week.
