One transfer that wasn't just a rumour was the sale of Graeme Lee to neighbours Doncaster Rovers. Lee completed a £50,000 move after being told he was surplus to requirements at Hillsborough, and signed in time to play in Rovers draw with rivals Chesterfield at the weekend. Full story: Click Here

Danny Reet was the next man to depart S6, this time to Mansfield Town. Sturrock had held discussions with the player to determine his future after impressing on loan at Bury. Owls striker Lee Peacock was another player to be told he can find another club by boss Paul Sturrock, and his name was linked with a move to Walsall after Saddlers boss Paul Merson admitted his interest by a slip of the tongue in an interview. Full story: Click Here

Paul Heckingbottom had dropped down the pecking order after the arrival of Jon Hills and Peter Gilbert, and was looking for a new club after being told he was surplus to requirements by Sturrock.
