The week started with two London clubs showing their interest in out-of-favour midfielder Craig Rocastle. Millwall and Leyton Orient were both rumoured to be chasing the sevices of the former Chelsea man, who has been told he could leave the Owls by boss Paul Sturrock. Full story: Click Here

Another Owls player was linked with a move away from Hillsborough. This time talk was of Manchester City lining up a bid for top scorer Chris Brunt, but the Northern Irish international laughed off the speculation insisting he was happy with life as an Owl. Full story: Click Here

The transfer rumours continued as Paul Sturrock looked to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window, but this time the club were linked with a move for Racing Santander defender Oriol Lozano in the Spanish press. Full story: Click Here

One transfer that wasn't just a rumour was the sale of Graeme Lee to neighbours Doncaster Rovers. Lee completed a £50,000 move after being told he was surplus to requirements at Hillsborough, and signed in time to play in Rovers draw with rivals Chesterfield at the weekend. Full story: Click Here

Danny Reet was the next man to depart S6, this time to Mansfield Town. Sturrock had held discussions with the player to determine his future after impressing on loan at Bury. Both the club and the player agreed it was best for Reet to make the move to the Stags for a fee of £25,000. Full story: Click Here

Owls striker Lee Peacock was another player to be told he can find another club by boss Paul Sturrock, and his name was linked with a move to Walsall after Saddlers boss Paul Merson admitted his interest by a slip of the tongue in an interview. Full story: Click Here

Paul Heckingbottom had dropped down the pecking order after the arrival of Jon Hills and Peter Gilbert, and was looking for a new club after being told he was surplus to requirements by Sturrock.
