Corr Completes Robins Switch

Corr Completes Robins Switch

Young Wednesday striker Barry Corr has completed his move away from Hillsborough and become Paul Sturrock's first summer signing at Swindon Town.

The Ulsterman, who spent the end of the season on loan at the County Ground helping Town to promotion from League Two, has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the club after falling surplus to requirements at Wednesday.

'I'm delighted to have things all sorted. Swindon are an ambitious club and I think this is somewhere I can really improve my game,' Corr told the official Swindon website today.

'Promotion was a fantastic feeling and a brilliant end to the season and I hope we can pick up from where we left off at the start of the League One campaign.'

The striker was snapped up by Sturrock from Leeds United's youth set up but made only seven league starts for the club and fell out of favour with new boss Brian Laws - prompting a loan move to Bristol City and then Swindon where he went on to make eight appearances, scoring three goals.
