Owls Grant Signing Imminent

Wednesday are all set to capture their first signing of the pre-season with Derby County stopper Lee Grant set to put pen to paper on a deal at Hillsborough.

Owls boss Brian Laws made a new number one at S6 a priority at the end of last season and he now looks set to get his men after the former England under-21 international was released by the Rams.

Grant was third in the goalkeeper pecking order at Pride Park before his release, behind current number one Stephen Bywater and Lee Camp and was desperate for first team football after loan spells with Burnley and Oldham Athletic.

But he looks all set to get his chance at rekindling his career with Wednesday with Laws set to capture Grant this week.

And the Owls boss isn't set to stop there as he looks to bring two goalkeepers to Hillsborough before the start of the new season in August.
