'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Only One Roland Nilsson?

Here at Vital SWFC we're running a vote for the Greatest Ever Owls XI, as voted for by you the fans! Kevin Pressman already has the number one jersey, now it's time for the right back.

And at the moment, Roland Nilsson is winning the voting by an absolute country mile! We do have our Mel Sterland fans on the forum, but if you want him to bag the Owls Greatest Right Back crown you'll have to vote quick!

Vote before next Saturday, because we'll be posting our winner on the home page then!

The players are taken from your nominations and our own suggestions of the Owls legends. By the way, we're looking for nominations for Centre Backs ready for next week's poll: check out the thread elsewhere in the forum, and get those in before next Saturday too.

Mel Sterland - 1979-1989, 347 appearances, England international.

Roland Nilsson - 1989-1994, 186 appearances, Swedish international.

Peter Atherton - 1994-2000, 250 appearances.

Viv Anderson - 1991-1993, 91 appearances, England international.

Wilf Smith - 1964-1970, 233 appearances.

Dan Petrescu - 1994-1995, 33 appearances, Romanian international.

Frankie Simek (pictured above) - 2004-?, 89 appearances, USA international.
