Evans Moves To Shrews

Former Wednesday winger Richard Evans has signed a short-term contract with League Two side Shrewsbury Town after impressing on trial with the Shrews.

Evans had his contract terminated with the Owls by mutual consent earlier this week, and has secured a deal with Shrewsbury until the end of the season.

Gary Peter's told Shrewsbury's official website: ''He has the technique, pace and youth to be a very good player. We've got to make sure we harness that ability.''

Evans, 22, only made eleven first team appearances at Hillsborough after signing from Birmingham City.
