At Last! Trio Sign...

Well its been a long, long time in coming, but at last Wednesday have announced the signatures of three new players ahead of the new season.

As expected, former Derby County stopper Lee Grant and former Scunthorpe United utility man Richard Hinds have both started pre-season training at Middlewood Road with the rest of the Owls squad.

And they've been joined by a third signing, in former Tottenham Hotspur stopper Rob Burch, whose links with Wednesday were highlighted on Vital Sheffield Wednesday yesterday.

So it looks as though the goalkeeping situation at S6 can be put to bed for the time being, with a first choice stopper and a second choice seemingly sorted out, while Richard Hinds will add strength in depth to the back line.

Camp has fallen down the pecking order at Derby County and comes to Hillsborough eager to prove his worth after playing for the England under-21s previously, while Burch has also represented the England under-20 side while at White Hart Lane.

Sheffield-born Hinds was a key part of the Scunthorpe United side that achieved promotion from League One last term and will be known only too well by Wednesday boss Brian Laws.

Hopefully more will be on their way...
