'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hard Lines, Blades

So that's that then, United have lost their appeal to regain their Premiership status next season, and we'll be playing Sheffield derbies once again next season.

Its not come as much of a surprise to the majority of sane football fans, but it will have been sweet news to see it confirmed for Wednesdayites who will now be able to look forward to two clashes with the Blades next season.

A statement on Sheffield United's website said: 'We are obviously very disappointed by this conclusion.

'In particular, in circumstances where the tribunal recognised that the outcome of the decision turned out to be 'unfortunate in the extreme', and that Sheffield United have done nothing wrong to merit this outcome.'

They may not have done anything wrong, but they simply weren't good enough over the course of the season, and football should be decided on the pitch.

Fair play to our city friends though, it was a worth a try, no matter how cringeworthy some of the attention was in the local and national press - especially asking for the help of Wednesdayites when protesting in the city centre not long back.

I've got a feeling the first Sheffield derby of next term is going to be a good 'un...

2 points. 1. Without Tevez (illegal player) West Ham would not have been good enough on the pitch. 2. If its cringeworthy to ask for fellow football fans anywhere , never mind fellow northerners and fellow northerners that share the same city, to help right a wrong, god help us all, every one. I prefer the article on the terriers site, which is thankfully devoid of a petty parochial outlook

Sheffield United can feel hard done by but it doesnt say that west ham had to be deducted points so why are they continuing this?

Blunts give it up you lost!

Get over it piggies. Over the course of the whole season, you just were not good enough. You may all have felt it was worth a try to complain about the issue with the Hammers, but if you really do not see what a laughing stocck you made of yourselves and the city you're in, I feel pity for you. It was a sad act of a desperate team rather than keeping your pride and vowing to get back next year to exact revenge. Your fate was in your own hands, but you couldn't even beat Wigan on the final day, so you deserve your fate. Get over it, move on and....see you next season when we're stuffing you too!!

So Big Cheese you reckon "1. Without Tevez (illegal player) West Ham would not have been good enough on the pitch." You weren't complaining about t'old Carlos when you were 10 points clear of relegation in the middle of the season. You had a safety net and you just blew it. You weren't good enough to get a draw on the last day fo the season AT HOME. Get over it and move on.

1. without tevez west ham did much better and it was only after tevez signed that they went on that terrible run, so you cant say they wouldnt be good enough without him 2. you all complain about man utd and liverpool fielding weakened teams against fulham and west ham but you didn't seem to care when arsenal and liverpool fielded the weakened teams against you which u gained 4 points from, think about blunts, and stop moaning, see you next season
smiggyswfc
When will the piggies stop moaning ? Get over it, you were not good enough, you top scorer did not make double figures, half the wednesday team got more goals than your top scorer, so how did you think you were good enough to stay up. If you had Tevez playing for you, you might have stayed up LOL !!!
haxeyowl
Well there's a surprise, cannot they went along with it for so long. It's simple they weren't good enough and they are back where they belong.
will it ever happen
