Owls Linked With Magpie

The latest name to be linked with a move to Hillsborough this summer is young Newcastle United midfielder Matty Pattison, who is also linked with Championship rivals Burnley.

Media reports today have linked the Owls and the Clarets with the 20-year-old's services for next season as Wednesday boss Brian Laws looks to add further names to his squad for the 2007-08 campaign.

The South African born midfield man is a hot prospect in the North East and has also made numerous appearances in the first team.

And any move for Pattison could well mean Laws uses Steve Watson in a defensive role next term, with Yoann Folly, Glenn Whelan and Kenny Lunt also fighting it out for one of the two central midfield spots for the Owls next season.

Pattison has made just ten appearances for the Magpies, four starts and six from the bench, in the league after coming through the youth ranks at St James' Park.

Another big name then ? Well he does have 8 letter in his surname, so maybe the board thinks that counts as a big name ?

we need to be looking to get the players in that gan send waves through the league that we are a team that can cause sum damage during the season, the players we have brought in okay give tham a chance but if we are to build on what we did last season then we need to be lookin at more houshold names.
