Owls Target Moves On

Wednesday target Julian Gray has ended speculaion over a summer move to Hillsborough by agreeing a deal to sign for Championship rivals Coventry City today.

The former Crystal Palace man had been released by Birmingham City following their promotion to the Premiership and rumours in the local and national press had pointed towards Brian Laws having him high on his shopping list.

But the 27-year-old, who played under Sky Blues' boss Iain Dowie at Crystal Palace, has agreed to a two-year deal at the Ricoh Arena as he looks for more first team football next term.

It was thought the wideman was brought in as a possible replacement on the left wing for Chris Brunt, who was linked with a move away from Hillsborough to the Premiership.
