The most noticeable absentee is that of a striker to fill the number nine shirt for the Owls next season. Deon Burton will keep his number ten jersey and Marcus Tudgay will stick with his lucky number seven.
Owls boss Brian Laws has made it public knowledge that he's desperate to add a new high-profile striker to his ranks and it looks as though he's confident of getting his man to fill in the vacant number nine slot left by Steve Maclean.
Lee Grant has also been given the number one shirt ahead of fellow new signing Rob Burch, who isn't even given the number 13 shirt, but the 27 top, showing signs that Grant will be the Owls' first choice number one next term.
Fellow new signing Richard Hinds grabs the number five shirt which was occupied by the departing Graham Coughlan last term, while fellow new-boy Steve Watson is yet to get his number, although it looks like he could be getting the number 29 top.
Surely the person most delighted with the numbers is youngster Rocky Lekaj, who comes racing up the rankings to get the number 12 jersey next term while fellow young prospects Sean McAllister and Mark Beevers grab the number 14 and 15 shirts respectively.
We look forward to seeing our new number nine, Mr Laws...
