Cocko Makes Millers Move

Former Wednesday defender Graham Coughlan has today agreed to join League Two club Rotherham United on a two year deal.

The Irish defender saw his contract with Wednesday terminated by mutual consent earlier this month after being told he was surplus to requirements by Owls boss Brian Laws.

The news will be somewhat of a relief to Owls fans, with Coughlan on trial at rivals Leeds United at the weekend looking to impress the League One club, but he's instead opted for the short switch to Millmoor to play for Mark Robins' men next term.

Cocko was also be rumoured to be re-uniting with former boss Paul Sturrock at League One newboys Swindon Town but an offer never came from his former Plymouth and Owls gaffer.

And Cocko could well be back up against his former teammates as early as August when Rotherham play Wednesday in the first round of the Carling Cup, live on Sky at Millmoor on Thursday August 16 - the second game of the new season.
