Graham Departs For Gills

Out-of-favour Wednesday striker David Graham could finally be set for a move away from a nightmare spell at Hillsborough after taking a trial at Gillingham this week.

The former Wigan and Torquay United striker has endured a torrid time at S6 since making the switch under former boss Paul Sturrock, and after being told he is surplus to requirements under Brian Laws, has decided to make the move to the League One club on a trial basis.

And should he impress at the Priestfield Stadium during his spell, the Scotsman will be allowed to leave South Yorkshire on a permanent deal.

Graham has already been shipped out of the club on loan to Huddersfield Town and Bradford City respectively after failing to make an early impression on the pitch at S6, and has failed to impress Laws enough to warrant another chance with the Owls.

And the Owls boss has recently revealed that Graham is one of the players he needs to ship out of S6 to enable him to offer higher wages for any incoming striker.

Laws told the Sheffield Star recently: 'You have to work to a budget; you can only fill your pot so far, and we need to move on one or two players who are not likely to figure for us.'

Sorry to say good bye and good riddens, IMO he sould of been sacked last season for going AWL.

I agree, he should have been sacked. However, knowing our luck, Taylor would have got involved and we would have ended up paying him off anyway. Fingers crossed he has a good trial
