Owls Reported To FL

Wednesday have been reported to the Football League by Championship rivals Southampton regarding the Owls' bid for Grzegorz Rasiak this week.

The Polish international striker has been top of Brian Laws' wishlist to fill the vacant number nine jersey left by Steve Maclean, and was subject to a £2m bid from Wednesday this week.

But after Southampton sent a fax to the Owls asking them to stop their public comments about the former Derby and Spurs man under Football League rules, a comment by Laws recently has seen the Saints take the matters further.

Southampton Operations director Lee Hoos told the official Saints website: 'We have asked them under League rule 57.1 not to make any comments about our player. Following today's quotes form Brian Laws we have referred the matter to the Football League'

The report to the Football League is the last thing Laws needs as he continues to find a new striker ahead of the new season following unsucessful bids for Rasiak, Kenwyne Jones, Billy Sharp and Patrick Kluivert.

I'm not sure how this summer could be any worse for Wednesday. Maybe if Whelan leaves and Simek breaks his leg. Maybe then.

i wonder whats next?
will it ever happen
Who kick the black cat down at Hillsborough? Somebody must have done for all the ill luck us Owls fans are having.

We've got to make lemonade out of lemons and use all this adversity in our own favour. If there's a perception everyone is against us, the team can really bond and be determined to win matches like never before.

And screw Southampton - they accepted the bid in the first place. They have also sold their two best players and bought some unknown Polish striker and nowt else - the lads will be more determined to put one over on them after this saga. Saints have got no chance of promotion.

Laws just has to use this to his own advantage and rally the troops with it - no one likes us - we don't care! It's a perfect opportunity to play mind games and scare off other teams.

get guy ritchie on blower, we cud make a film out of our pre season! can it get any worse lads ?

The "unknown Polish striker" will probably knock 20 goals in this season, without doubt a couple against us. At least Saints have signed a striker, and when do we ever "put one over" on Southampton. Im afraid the season is looking very bleak, hope we are not too far adrift by Christmas.
