'If It's Football, It's Vital'

An Open Invitation To Kaven Walker

'We must always think about things, and we must think about things as they are, not as they are said to be.' - George Bernard Shaw

'Prejudice is a great time saver. You can form opinions without having to get the facts.' - E.B. White

Over the last few days, the Vital Sheffield Wednesday forum has had a visit from Wednesdayite director Darryl Keys, and we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to directly ask him searching questions, the transcript of which you can read on these pages.

It helped the forum members to work through their frustrations with the current issues at S6, and whichever side our members were on, or whatever their point of view, we think it was a useful exercise to undertake. Once again, many thanks to Darryl for spending time with us.

Of course, a balanced argument can only be presented if the club has an input too, and we here at Vital SWFC will provide a platform for such a discussion to occur, or for the view from the boardroom to be presented.

We'd like to extend an invitation to the Owls Chief Executive Kaven Walker to partake in a similar discussion.. it has to be beneficial to hear the official view from Hillsborough first hand.

We know we're not entitled to it, we know we can't demand it. But dialogue with the fans should be an essential part of the day to day running of the club. If this were not so, why put a contact email address on the official web site?

How about it, Mr. Walker?

Just click here and let us know if you think it's a good idea.

Yes we know we're not entitled to it Yes we know we cant demand it. But whats even more important is that we know full well that Kaven Walker wont come on here and talk to the fans. We're not that important you know.

We're just "scum" to these self-interested incompetents, there's a snowball's chance in hell of him coming on.

I think that the first 2 comments just about sum it up. The guy has probably just got his invitation or maybe not, probably digesting what DK was asked and indeed what replies were given. Then needs to check with DA and the board. This will take time. However, lets wait and see, and not jump to conclusions. I would like to think that it would happen.

Yes it will take time. Time for KW & DA to go through the questions that Daryl got asked so they they can think of a way of rubbishing all that was said.
Skeggy Owl
Any decent board member would be happy toi accept this invitation - without the fans, the club is nothing. It's about time DA, KW and other directors remembered this.

I would like to see this happen and congratulate Vital SW for trying to put it into place. My personal opinion is that it will just be ignored by the board or that it will be shrugged off. However, we can but see. There's a few questions I'd like to ask him myself.
Disgruntled Owl
I would be a grate achievment if Vital SW pulled it off

I think my rectum has more chance of healing up!

dont hold your breath. there will be some crap about how the board will not be held to ransom

I would love to see this happen but I feel it may be a bridge too far at this point. Lets hope Mr Walker does accept this offer so that we can balance the arguement out.
