Macca Set For Stags

Wednesday youngster Sean McAllister is all set for a one-month loan spell at League Two club Mansfield Town to bolster his first team experience.

The 20-year-old has already made his way in to the Owls' first team plans but has fallen down the pecking order recently and will hope to get more first team opportunities at Field Mill over the next four weeks.

Macca made his debut in the famous blue and white stripes in February 2006 when the Owls were down to the bare bones due to injury problems, but his performances saw him collect a professional contract at Hillsborough in the summer of 2006.

The Stags have struggled to four points from their opening four League Two fixtures this term and Billy Dearden will be hoping the Owls' academy product will bolster his midfield options in the coming games.

McAllister will join former Owls Matthew Hamshaw and Danny Reet at Field Mill.

I would loan him out for rest of the season so he can get more games and experience under his belt.
will it ever happen
Bit by bit, first league 2 to get some competitive games, then bring him back, see how he has come on fitness and awareness wise, then possibly loan him to a league 1 side, then bring him back and have a look. Maybe he may even figure in our end of season relegation dog fight, as long as its not all over by then.

just got back of holiday in sunny portugal where i met mr mcallisters dad (during the bristol match) he says sean has lost all his confidence because of brian laws, hope this is a way for him to regain some as we need all the young talent we can get.... plus a good signing for mansfield, hes head a shoulders above what theyve got!
