Owls Linked With Latic

Owls boss Brian Laws is keen to bolster his defensive options, and reports today are linking Wednesday with a move for out-of-favour Wigan defender Fitz Hall.

Wednesday missed out on Reading defender Sam Sodje and failed to add a defender to their ranks before the close of the transfer window.

But the loan window remains open, and Wednesday could swoop for former Crystal Palace and Oldham Athletic man Hall after slipping down the pecking order at the JJB Stadium.

Championship rivals Norwich City and Hull City are also rumoured to be keen on bringing the centre-back in on a loan deal, despite Charlton Athletic missing out on a deal on transfer deadline day.

The Walthamstow defender has made 22 appearances for the Latics since making the switch to Lancashire for £3m from Crystal Palace in 2006, but has fallen out of favour with new boss Chris Hutchings.

The 26-year-old made his name at Oldham Athletic after coming through the Barnet youth system and also played for Southampton before moving to Palace.

whats gone wrong at hillsbro, i thought you were promotion candidates before the season started, looking at the way you ended last season, very odd.

He'd be a cracking signing if we managed to pull it off.

Will this one happen? probably not!
will it ever happen
Sounds like a fine signing, but if other clubs want him, we're going to have to start winning to attract anyone to the club.
Disgruntled Owl

WORKSOP..OWL
Go to the Wigan forum and they say that five clubs are intrested in him.
will it ever happen
He'll be able to play in several positions because as we all know.. One Size Fitz Hall.
Auckland Owl
Lets see. Will Wigan pay his wages whilst on loan? Erm.......No. Thats the end of our interest then. Simple as. Wish he'd just come clean and say that he cant have anyone from any team playing higher than league 1. We just cant afford the wages. Whats the point in him dissapointing himself and more importantly me, time after time. Oh, and come to think of it. That expensive joke we managed to offload to Gillingham was a fringe player at Wigan.

Just a whisper to thewalkeyone......we had a deal set for Sam Sodje, money in place of 350k plus wages. He didnt want to come, so we move onto our next target.....
Bigash
Well Bigash. For whatever reason the player doesnt play for our beloved team. However, I must conceed that Francis Jeffers came from a prem team, so what do I know?
