Owls Bag Kavanagh
Wednesday have completed their second loan signing in as many days with Sunderland midfielder Graham Kavanagh arriving at Hillsborough on a one month emergency loan.
The Irishman was keen to stay at the Premiership club and fight for his place but it looks as though Black Cats boss Roy Keane doesn't see the former Cardiff City midfielder in his immediate plans.
The 33-year-old has a vast amount of experience in the Championship and will go straight in to the Owls squad to face Hull City on Saturday.
And Owls boss Brian Laws was delighted to secure his second experienced loan signing in as many days.
He told the official Owls website: 'I am delighted that Graham Kavanagh has decided to join us because several other clubs were interested in him. He is a top player and will bring many qualities to our squad in the coming weeks.'
Laws was desperate to bolster his squad with experience following Wednesday's disastrous start to the new season which sees them propping up the rest of the Championship having lost all six games so far this season.
It's thought the Owls beat off competition from rivals Sheffield United and Leeds United for the signature of the former Republic of Ireland international.
The Dubliner will add experience to a young Owls side, having played almost 300 games in the Championship for a number of clubs including Stoke City, Cardiff and Wigan.
