Owls Meet Wednesdayite

The beginning of the end of the feud? Hopefully, after Wednesday chief executive Kaven Walker has agreed to meet up with Wednesdayite vice chairman John Gath.

Communication between Wednesdayite and the club had broken down after the supporters' group refused to hand back their ten per cent shareholding to the club in light of fears over ownership.

But Kaven Walker has agreed to meet up with the Wednesdayite later this week, a move which could pave the way for more communication between the group and the club, and maybe even a way for some long-awaited investment in S6.

Kaven Walker told the official Owls website: 'Despite my concerns I have agreed to meet with John Gath and I am prepared to listen to what he has to say.'

Walker has had a number of interviews broadcast over BBC Radio Sheffield over the course of the week which seems to have prompted Gath into contacting the club today to try and forge some kind of relationship.

And although the Owls' chief executive voiced his concerns over any kind of dialogue between the two, the latest move seems to be a step in the right direction as the Owls look to push on for a place back in the Premiership.

Keep checking Vital Sheffield Wednesday for all the latest updates on the meeting between the pair.

Surely time for this deable to be sorted out once and for all. But what's the betting that one, or both, of the parties come out after the meeting and start blaming the other again ? http://www.midfielddynamo.com
