Wednesday's jet heeled winger Jermaine Johnson will be sitting out this Saturday's visit of Leicester City in the Championship through suspension.
The former Bradford City man saw red in the Owls' 2-1 defeat at Watford on Tuesday night and will sit out his one-game ban for the visit of Gary Megson's men.
Johnson was given two yellow cards, the first for dissent and the second for a late challenge on Watford winger Adam Johnson late on in the clash which saw him dismissed.
And the news is a further blow to Owls' boss Brian Laws, who already had six players injured before Tuesday night's match at Vicarage Road.
Wade Small and Etienne Esajas are both expected to come in to contention and deputise for JJ, while Marcus Tudgay is also a possibility on the wing.
