'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Kav Wants New Owls Deal

Loanee Graham Kavanagh has revealed that he'd like to extend his deal over the initial one-month period at Hillsborough should Sunderland allow it.

The Irishman has made a big impact on the Owls, featuring in two league wins on the spin and scoring his first in the famous blue and white stripes in the 2-1 defeat at Watford in midweek.

And despite the Owls' current position in the Championship, Kav insists he's loving his time at Hillsborough.

The 33-year-old told BBC Radio Sheffield: 'I feel I'm getting stronger all the time and starting to stamp my influence games.

'If Wednesday ask me to stay and Sunderland allow it then I'd like to stay because I've enjoyed it here.'

The former Cardiff City and Stoke man has already revealed his desire to return to Sunderland and compete for a place to play in the Premiership, but it now looks more likely he could be extending his deal at S6.

And this can only mean good news for Wednesday and boss Brian Laws, who is sure to try and bag an extension for the midfielder sooner rather than later.

Awesome news, maybe we can't sign him permanently but getting him for another 2 or 3 months would be fantastic :)
