Macca Impressing Stags

Wednesday youngster Sean McAllister has impressed Mansfield Town boss Billy Dearden so much that the Stags' boss has requested an extension to the midfielder's loan stay.

Owls boss Brian Laws was keen to give the youngster a run of games to gain some valuable first team experience, and he has impressed the Field Mill boss in the four games he's played in for the Stags.

McAllister joined the League Two club on an initial one-month loan deal from September 6 but will now be staying with the club for an extra-month.

The Bolton-born youngster has made just one first team start in the famous blue and white starts, but has featured several times from the bench and impressed in his handful of outings.

And Laws will be hoping McAllister comes back with some extra experience from his time at Field Mill, and could well opt to further extend the deal if requested.
