Macca Makes Move

Hot Wednesday prospect David McClements has moved to Conference North club Hinckley United on loan to gain some first team experience.

The Northern Irish youngster has been hotly tipped for big things with Wednesday after progressing through the youth ranks at Middlewood Road under the guidance of Sean McAuley and will be hoping to take his progression one step further with the Leicestershire outfit.

The 18-year-old winger was on the verge of a first team call-up under Brian Laws towards the end of last season but has made just one reserve team outing so far this term.

And McClements can't wait to get in to Conference North action and hopefully make the Owls' management team take notice.

'All of the boys have been looking to go out on loan but up until recently Sean McAuley has said that it would be too soon for us to go out,' McClements told the official SWFC website.

'So I have been concentrating on the under-18s and reserve team matches until now.

'I've only played one reserve team game so far this season but the most important thing for me now is to get some first team football. It should be a good experience and I am looking forward to playing there.'
