Kav - Where Now?

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has revealed that Graham Kavanagh will be returning to the Stadium of Light after the end of his loan deal at Hillsborough on Saturday - but for what reason?

The former Stoke and Cardiff man has always been keen to return to the Premiership club for the chance of some regular first team action in the first team.

But rumours today are linking the former Republic of Ireland international not with a slot in Sunderland's first eleven, but with a move across the Steel City to Sheffield United.

The Yorkshire Post has linked Kav with a loan move to Bryan Robson's Blades following his final game in the blue and white shirt in the clash with Blackpool on Saturday.

And our sister site, Vital Sheffield United has also highlighted the possibility of the midfielder moving to add some experience to the midfield at Bramall Lane.

Kavanagh has been a huge hit with Owls fans, helping Wednesday to three wins from six matches during his time at S6, netting one goal along the way.

But it could be an even bigger blow to see the 33-year-old pull on the red and white of the Blades should Keane allow his man to go out on loan to United.

Don't do it, Kav...
