Folly Returns In Win

Yoann Folly made an appearance for the Owls' reserves as they did what the first team couldn't in overturning Scunthorpe United this afternoon.

The Frenchman, brought to the club by Paul Sturrock, has been missing from first team matters for a number of weeks, calling fans to question the role the midfielder has to play at the club.

But it could well be that the former Southampton man is hoping to make an impression on boss Brian Laws through his performances in the Owls' second string.

Goals from Kenny Lunt and Etienne Esajas put Wednesday in command at the break before goals from Charlie Tunnard and Rocky Lekaj wrapped up the convincing victory against Laws' former club.

Steve Watson also got 80 minutes in to improve his fitness as he looks to return to the first team for the weekend trip to Plymouth, while Lee Bullen and Peter Gilbert were the other players with experience in the team.
